What do I need to join the Passion+ PLP?

Passion+ PLP (Entrepreneurship):
A strong passion for starting your own business! You can join with a pre-formed team or find like-minded teammates during the programme.

Passion+ PLP (SEA Readiness):
Bring your adaptability, curiosity, cultural sensitivity, and open-mindedness. This track is for those keen on exploring opportunities in Southeast Asia.

What kind of exclusive opportunities does Passion+ PLP offer?

Entrepreneurship Track:

• Green Lane access to the Accelerator Programme and Global Entrepreneurial Internship Programme (GEIP).

• Personalised mentorship from an NP mentor and industry professionals.

SEA Readiness Track:

• Priority consideration for overseas programmes such as:

  • TF-SCALE (Temasek Foundation Specialists’ Community Action and Leadership Exchange)

  • SAIL (South-east Asia Immersion Leadership)

  • GEIP (Global Entrepreneurial Internship Programme)

• Additional priority for Youth Expedition Programme and Overseas Immersion Programme.

When does the programme start and what is the commitment like?

• Express interest in Semester 1 of Year 1.

• Begin reading Learning Units (LUs) from Semester 2 onwards.

• Time commitment:

  • ~3 hours per week for LUs.

  • Internship lasts up to 6 months in Year 3.

• Entrepreneurship Track: Timeline is flexible and guided by mentors.

• Some endorsed external programmes may occur outside curriculum hours.

What are the costs for overseas trips?

• TF-SCALE and SAIL: Airfare and programme fees fully subsidised.

• Youth Expedition Programme (YEP) and Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP): One-time subsidy for Singaporeans and PRs.

• Students bear personal expenses (e.g. meals, shopping).

What are the costs for overseas internships and GEIP?

• These are award programmes.

• Subsidies provided for:

  • Airfare

  • Accommodation

  • Visa fees

• Students cover a portion of living expenses abroad.

Will I get credit exemptions?

No formal credit exemptions.
However, students in the Entrepreneurship track may replace the Accelerator or Incubation LU under the Minor in Entrepreneurship with endorsed external competitions or programmes.

Do I need to give up equity in my start-up?

No, NP does not take any equity in businesses you start under the programme.
