GEIP Remote

GEIP offers students the opportunity to intern remotely with an overseas startup or locally in a Singapore-based startup, while gaining hands-on experience of building a business venture through the Global Startup Challenge. 

If you are a student who is not enrolled in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, you need to be selected by your school to apply for GEIP. Please check with your school or email us for more information. 

GEIP REMOTE INTERNSHIPS

Remote internships with overseas startups expose students to startup ecosystems in global innovation hubs. Students will gain global perspectives and cross-cultural connections from the comfort of home.

HOW DO REMOTE INTERNSHIPS WORK?

Students work according to their host company’s time zone, which gives them the flexibility to manage their internship responsibilities with their supervisors. Interns are paid according to local rates, however, government subsidies are granted to support certain regions. To facilitate better communication with overseas companies, GEIP provides interns with subsidised language courses.

STARTUP INTERNSHIPS

Internships with startups and innovation hubs provide students with the opportunity to experience entrepreneurial culture with greater exposure to ASEAN and global connections.

GLOBAL STARTUP CHALLENGE

Global Startup Challenge gives students a chance to develop a business venture during their internship semester.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic students who complete all required Learning Units will receive a Minor in Entrepreneurship.

Global Startup Hack

(Pre-internship) A 3-day global hackathon with students from overseas.

Venture Development

(During internship) Build a business venture as a team through a series of workshops and mentorship.

The Pitch

(After internship) Pitch your venture idea a to a panel of industry experts at our Showcase and Demo Days.
